Description
THE BEATLES - REVOLVER (1966 1st PRESSING) (STEREO) VERY RARE ERNEST J.DAY BACK.
1966 PCS 7009 – Original Black and YellowParlophone Labels.
UK Stereo copyin 100% original condition, rare and very hard to find Stereo sleeve made by ErnestJ. Day.
By mid-1964 there were virtually NO sleevesbeing printed by E J Day. This is apparently since Mid-1964 theprinting company ‘E J Day’ were going through new management. Thecompany emerged into 1966 and began once more to print Beatle albumsleeves. When Stereo copies of this album do appear, the sleeve will beprinted by ‘Garrard and Lofthouse’. So, while it is not uncommon to find aMono Revolver E J Day sleeve, it is extremely RARE to find a Stereo flip back EJ Day Revolver sleeve.
The record label on side two has the spellingof ‘Doctor Robert’, but on the sleeve this track is spelt as ‘Dr Robert’apparently at the insistence of John Lennon. The spelling on the sleevewas never corrected to the ‘Doctor’ spelling!
