EARLIEST EVER DICK JAMES incorrect CREDITS TO 4 TRACKS !!!!!
(later release changed to NORTHERN SONGS)
On 8th March, when George Martin typed up the running order sheet for "PLEASE PLEASE ME", he mistakenly credited 4 songs(*) as being published by the Dick James Co.This is the list that went to the printers, from which the first incorrect batch of labels was made, for both the mono and stereo pressings.

Short-lived first press with black/gold labels, the main pressing with classic Parlophone black & yellow labels was released a couple of months later.
The Vinyl grades as VERY GOOD+
The record has several light hairline scratches under a strong light not deep or feel able, but doesn't effect the Audio at all, which is surprisingly Clear and bright. No skips ,pops, but background crackle evident, only really noticeable between tracks, but when music kicks in it drowns any other background interference out mainly. Obviously been played many times but still retains a clean glossy finish.
I believe with a professional clean (which I do not have access to) a lot of the crackle would disappear, possibly upgrading this to an excellent grading audio experience from this holy grail of Beatles Vinyl collecting
Gold label on Side one is VG+ Clean and fully legible, centre hole wear, one or two spindle lines. side 2 the same but grades as VG due to the original owner "Tony Murphy" marking his name but not across any gold text.,
Sleeve with the famous very First Angus McBean far right credit on front (unlike some others ive seen recently trying to masquerade as true first sleeves) grades as VG++ on the front. Still retains nice clean laminate shine with no real damage. Corners show wear but very nice overall. Spine clearly and fully legible still.
The back of the sleeve fares slightly worse, grading as VG due to flipback damage at top and bottom, residue of Sellotape repair , but generally clean on the middle section with just age related foxing. So would probably grade overall as a strong VG+
Original Polylined Emitex Inner grades as Near MINT with no issues at all.
