Description

Offered up for auction here is a very rare Stereo pressing from 1963 of The Beatles debut album ‘Please Please Me’; this one is on the yellow/black label but remember, to be buying a Stereo pop album in 1963 you’d probably have to order it in, it was the Mono pressings that were flying off the racks making the early Stereo editions, with very clear differences in the sound at times, especially hard to find today. This one plays from start to finish with brilliant clear sound and not a single skip or stick so definitely not to be missed!

THE BEATLES, Please Please Me

LABEL: Parlophone (Yellow/Black label)

CAT NO: PCS 3042

MATRIX NO’S:  YEX 94-1 / YEX 95-1

YEAR OF RELEASE: 1963

COUNTRY: UK

MODE: Stereo

VINYL CONDITION: Excellent (The vinyl plays well throughout with only ever the most minor bit of totally non-intrusive surface noise, this is loud clear vinyl sound; The disc has a few light paper scuffs but none of these have any effect on the play through which is a joy to listen to)

COVER CONDITION: Very Good (Front laminate flip-back sleeve with large ‘stereo’ lettering on the top right of the front; fully intact with the two points that need highlighting being tape residue evident on the side opening edge of the rear, the original owner did protect all the edges with tape it seems but the only real trace is on that non-laminate part of the rear, also the spine has a couple of scuff marks that have caused some minor damage although it should be stated that 80% of the spine is completely fine; All in all though, still a great looking sleeve)

POSTAGE:

UK: £4.00 / Europe: £8.00 / Rest of world: £10.00
