On offer here is a very rare 1969 UK pressing of the Paperback Writer / Rain 45 by THE BEATLES. These extremely rare 1969 pressings without the ‘Sold in UK’ text were only available for a very limited time before being replaced by copies with the EMI box on the bottom of the labels and are now VERY hard to find. This rare pressing comes with the distinctive ‘dinked’ centre holes on the labels. The vinyl is very strictly graded in nice VG+++ condition with just a few light hairline marks visible under strong light, a great copy. It plays through fine with no sticks, jumps, scratches etc and has no warping or dishing. It comes in a Parlophone company sleeve.
The mothers and stampers are Side A – GPM 9 & Side B – GMM 9. Remarkably these pressings come with the same mothers and stampers as the ultra-rare solid centre 2nd pressings which shows just how very few were pressed! Matrix numbers – Side A – 7XCE 18380-2 & Side B – 7XCE 18381-2.
