Description

THE BEATLES, PLEASE PLEASE ME, UK PARLOPHONE VINYL LP, 1963, MONO

The Beatles – Please Please Me
Please Please Me is the debut album by English band The Beatles. Parlophone rush-released the album on 22 March 1963 in the United Kingdom to capitalise on the success of singles "Please Please Me" and "Love Me Do".

This album is not perfect and has a few visible marks but plays pretty well with only the odd minor imperfection (for condition see below). Don ’t expect it to play perfectly and look like new!!!
Side One: I Saw Her Standing There; Misery; Anna (Go To Him); Chains; Boys; Ask Me Why; Please Please Me.
Side Two: Love Me Do; P.S. I Love You; Baby It’s You; Do You Want To Know A Secret; A Taste Of Honey; There’s A Place; Twist And Shout.
The album is on Parlophone Records, PMC 1202. Matrix side one: XEX 421-1N (stamped). Matrix side two: XEX 422-1N (stamped).
1963. UK pressing. Mono.
See photos below for more info.

Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system)
Vinyl side 1: good (has a few marks and plays with a few light clicks at the end of track five and the beginning of track six, but nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music, plays with no jumps or skips).
Vinyl side 2: good (has a few marks and plays with clicks for the first half of track one but nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music, plays with no jumps or skips).
Cover (front laminated, flipback): good (corner and edge wear, tear along half of the bottom edge just above the flipback, a few edge creases, name and number written on back, general aging).
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record.
Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
