Description

Rare 1963 South African press of The Beatles’ classic, timeless debut Please Please Me, made on the navy-blue old-school Parlophone label (PMCJ 1202)

This sleeve is between VG- to VG condition. Actually not a bad copy as it's still quite presentable and solid. Some very minor wear here and there on the front but no splits, pen marks etc. The back has noticeable brownish/discoloration smudges all over + a scribbled signature and date in blue pen, near the top left corner (these are the main defects) Otherwise still just decent enough for how it was cared for!

The vinyl is in VG condition, actually still above average of what you can find for this LP in SA. Noticeably light surface marks on both sides but spread sparingly/not that many. Some black gloss but not enough to reflect a VG+. One side has a noticeable mark on the groove of the first few songs but nothing is embedded and felt  The centre labels are in good condition with noticeable wear to the spindle hole.

 

A decent addition for 60’s & more so Beatles collectors worldwide!!!
