Hi, I started collecting vinyl Lp's and 45's in 1971, I have 20,000 + which I have moved now 4 times, and about to move again next year. So it's time to let at least half go. Most are in at least Excellent condition.  I can't listen to them all, so most will only have visual grading, any with a high start price, I will listen too, and play grade.

SINGLE INFO:

This is the ORIGINAL UK 1st PRESS "MONO" Single BEATLES - PLEASE PLEASE ME.... In 1963 the 11th of Janruary the first copies of the second BEATLES single hit the shops, this RED label version was one of the first, the later pressings labels were changed to BLACK. On release the single reach number 2 on the National Chart, but on some Uk charts reach number 1 (NME) for one. George Martin felt the BEATLES second single would give them the big HIT! they needed...Then the thing that this version is famous for, Andy White claimed that this version he was the one playing the drums, as the sound was made from his Ludwig drum kit. A different sound to Ringo Starr's kit. To this day the jury is still out, the band claim it was Ringo's version, Andy say's it's him, George Martin has not said anything conclusive. When you think most people owned Dansette's or the old fashion type of Radio Grams, I don't need to tell you how many 45's got scratched and ruined by heavy weighted arms and metal needles.  This is the very first press... and very rare single Please Please Me. This version hardly ever turns up these day and certainly not in this condition, or any reasonable condition! A real COLLECTORS ITEM RARELY comes up for sale especially in this kind of condition. Most sellers would grade a lot higher.  A collectors dream. The cover is in stunning condition, PARLOPHONE wavy line issue. and is so near mint, and you would be hard pushed to find better..    

Well as you can see from the photographs this is a superb copy of The BEATLES 1963 beat single is in great condition! THE BEATLES - PLEASE PLEASE ME. 45-R 4983  on PARLOPHONE. I've played the album on my Pioneer PL- 550X The vinyl lays flat and there are NO warps. The sound is STILL GREAT WITH NO DISTORTION OR JUMPS! there are NO pops and very if at all any background crackle but  A truly wonderful listen. The stampers are M on side 1...and G O on side 2.  which is one the very first as far as I know. Even the original sleeve is unsplit and has just a few creases.

VINYL: 

EXCELLENT.  The vinyl is still bright and shows signs of being played, most were played to death, but judging the lack of center hole wear, not this copy. There are NO deep penetrating scratches, just a few light spindle marks only visible under strong light, the light marks on the vinyl are removal mark caused by handling, I have photographed please have a look, these do not affect play.  

SLEEVE:

EXCELLENT+.  Wonderfully clean EMI wavy line stock cover, no rubbing damage, you would be hard push to find better. it has survived without picking up any staining or writing.Hard to beat condition.   

LABELS:

Clean, no damage or writing. A great condition for a label as both sides have no visible damage or writing as were common with beat 45's most have stickers or worst biro names written on them!  This on has None of the latter a single with labels in great shape now half a century old. A great should I say investment to any BEATLES collection!  

AUDIO GRADING:

EXCELLENT. There are so many copies which are played to death, This copy plays with both channels playing without distortion, even pristine looking copies can hide the damage distortion caused by a damaged or blunt stylus. The playback is bright and sharp with a little background crackle here and there, an exceptional playing copy, yes I listened all the way through loved it, there are NO pops or audible needle damage  but a pro-clean might help, the record is so loud in playback it does make you wonder why we started buying CD's... There are NO JUMPS, DISTORTION, OR FREQUENCIES DAMAGE.     

GRADING SYSTEM: In order to assist everyone who buys and sells rare discs, Record Collector magazine has originated a set of standards for the condition of second-hand records, I have added a (+) or (-) to my gradings where applicable.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. 
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. 
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

PAYMENT:

Items must be payed for within five days. If non payment within five days, I will then instigate an Ebay ruling. I will set up a dispute and either offer it to the runner up bidder or relist.

PACKAGING: 

I use preformed and standard mailers with stiffeners. I always take the vinyl out in its inner sleeve and place on top of the cover. This is then placed into a soft protective sleeve and packaged with stiffeners for full protection.
