SLEEVE SHOWS LARGE SOLID BLOCK MONO

Condition:

Sleeve:  GOOD+ :  The laminated front of this " Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd." sleeve has edge creasing to the laminate, scuffs to all corners, and a very small split to the bottom edge that has been repaired with clear tape.  The rear flip-back seams show some damage to top and bottom edges [the bottom seam has been repaired with clear tape], whilst the spine seam remains undamaged.  Also note that a previous owner has left their mark in pen on the top edge.

Over all I would describe it as generally very nice condition,  although showing signs of age - but then don't forget that it is 51 years old.

Inner sleeve is the white EMITEX die cut and lined sleeve,  in nice clean condition and free of writing and splits.

Record: VERY GOOD++ :  The vinyl is bright, clean and with good labels.  Showing several light hairlines and scuffs to both sides, but nothing serious or that effects playback.  Side 1 label clearly shows the "KT" tax mark embossed.  Labels are bright and clean and showing only average to light spindle wear.  Both sides are free of writing and stickers.

Plays very well, with no clicks, skips or jumps.  Some light background static noise between some tracks.  The original MONO sound is really worth listening to.

Overall, I'd describe this offering as a very good example of this 1963 4TH PRESSING MONO release - in undoubtedly VERY GOOD CONDITION for a 51 year old vinyl.

Definitely one for the Beatles collector.

I try to accurately describe the condition as per The Record Collector's Guide's parameters:

MINT:  The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.  Records advertised as Sealed or unplayed should be mint.

EXCELLENT:  The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.  The cover and packaging may have some slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD:  The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.  Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD:  The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc.
