Description
You are bidding on an original, first pressing, Mono version of the classic Beatles White Album.
The important bits first:-
The sleeve number: 0041196
Catalogue Numbers: PMC 7067 & 7068
Matrix Numbers: Side 1, XEX709-1 Side 2, XEX710-1 Side 3, XEX711-1 Side 4, XEX712-1
Stamper Numbers: Side 1 = 4 GH, Side 2 = 3 AR, Side 3 = 2 T, Side 4 = 4 PR
The top-loading gatefold Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is in good condition, a little yellowing with age but no marks to the laminate. The spine is a little cracked but the wording and catalogue number are clearly visible. The top opening and corners are slightly bruised.
The black inner sleeves are creased but have no tears apart from one small nick at the top of one.
The poster is slightly creased in places and has a number of small tears at folds and edges
The four prints are not originals, (they were pinned to my bedroom wall in the late sixties) but American, issued with the Stereo version Catalogue Number SWBO-101 which I bought subsequently. Each print carries the Apple Records, Inc copyright trademark and Printed in USA within a small circle at the foot.
Th vinyl is in very good condition with few surface marks, they gleam as brightly as they did 36 years ago. The labels are still bright with no markings, the spindle holes crisp with a few faint markings when discs are turned to the light.
The quality of sound is still the same - crisp and rich - as ever, with only occassional faint surface hiss (for want of a better word).
Please ask for more info if needed - I am not an expert but will try to be as accurate as possible. The album has been in my possession since day one - and been well cared for.
