THE BEATLES - LOVE ME DO - RARE UK SECOND PRESSING 1963 BLACK LABEL:
In the week that marks the 50th ANNIVERSARY of the release of the groups FIRST single, this is your chance to bid on one of the rarest imprints of this legendary release.
For sale here is the The Beatles 1963 UK 2nd pressing of the 'Love Me Do / P.S. I Love You' 7" single. Originally released on the 5th October 1962, this second issue is far harder to find than the famous RED LABEL first pressing. This therefore makes this one of the rarest and most desirable label variations of all the Beatles singles.
- Released on the black Parlophone label both sides feature the 'Recording First Published 1962' text WITHOUT the 'Sold in UK....' text.
- The rim print begins with 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd....' and is in both upper and lower case text.
- The 'KT' tax stamp is embossed to the b-side label.
- The single has multiple tax codes printed within the run out area – MPZT.
