THE BEATLES - HOTTEST HITS

 This is the ULTRA RARE 1965 fabled ESKIMO pressing, and one of the rarest Beatles records. Only ever released in Denmark, this collection of 1962-1965 non-album tracks is considered by many to be the highest fidelity pressings of any vinyl Beatles compilation - the high frequencies and bass notes are remarkably clear, as are the vocals and the audio layering.

The record comes with a single front laminated sleeve with the text, "Made In Denmark by Skandinavisk Grammophon Aktieselskab", on the rear.

THIS IS A COMPLETE GENUINE RARE ORIGINAL AND IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO BUY A COMPLETE EXAMPLE OF THIS HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE VINYL ALBUM.

The Super Clear 1st MONO mix, which packs amazing drive and punch, the audio quality on these pressings is unique, and un like all other pressings.

The BEATLES Hottest Hits was released in Denmark on the Parlophone labels, with the PMCS 306 catalogue number. 

This record is often regarded as the best quality recordings of the songs listed. Only 500 of the first pressings were made, with the Parlophone Denmark label, before production was halted.

Under the administrator of the Danish EMI, Bertel Dueholm, 600 copies of the Danish 'The Beatles Hottest Hits' were sent to be burned, with EMI not allowing other countries to produce their compilations. A tiny first print run was made, with the now famous Eskimo cover, making this album extremely rare and hard to find.

ALBUM PLAYED FOR GRADING:

Yes – Amazing bright clear sound quality throughout!

This great record plays up to the visual and audio grading and beyond, with incredible clear sound and a rare collection of track mixes.

This Album is a complex and varied collection of music, and hard to find in clear audio condition. Worn copies can have a lot of surface sound even on musically complex and busy tracks like 'Feel Fine.' 

This pressing has super strong undistorted audio, with incredibly clear sound. It really sounds great and plays with great sound separation and clarity. There are marks on the vinyl, and there is the occasional pop and click, but there is very very little background static to be found and the clarity of the sound is incredible. These Denmark pressings have a unique mix and sound quality and this vinyl sounds like a completely different mix of all the tracks.

There is some very light occasional static, this album sounds incredibly fresh and clean. Even with some marks on the vinyl I would still say that it plays with TOP audio, and there are obviously NO sticks or jumps what so ever, NO distortion and a little surface sound between the tracks.  I will give a detailed account below:

Bursting in with 'I Feel Fine', this great track often plays with lots of loud static. Not here! It plays with great audio, barely any detectable background static, and no loud pops or clicks. 

'I call your name', here sounds great. Again very little background static, and no pops or clicks. There are four pops between the tracks only, and then three light ticks at the very start of the following track. 

'I’ll Get You' sounds crisp and clear. No loud pops or clicks and not a hint of blurring or distortion. 

'From Me To You' also sounds great, with no loud pops or clicks, and barely any detectable static during the music. 

Leading into, 'This Boy', there is some static between the tracks, and then the music comes in crisp and clear. The track plays great, with just three pops in the middle.

'She Loves You', plays superbly, minimal static, there are five light pops during the music, but they are not that obvious, and I wouldn't say that they interfere with the sharp, loud music. 

Side 2. starts off with barely any detectable static. 'Long Tall Sally' plays great, clear sound and just two pops in the middle. 

'Thank You Girl' plays really well, with minimal static and absolutely stunning audio. I detected no light static tics and certainly no pops or clicks

Leading into 'Matchbox', one of the brightest tracks on the record. Here it plays with lovely clear sound, no distortion, no pops, very little static to be found and one or two light static tics at the start. 

'She’s A Woman' sounds great, nice clear sound with just two or three light tics. 

'Slow Down', another sparse track, plays superbly, with great clear sound. No loud pops, no clicks, some very light occasional static only and two light random tics only. There are two pops between the tracks but not during the music.

'I Want To Hold Your Hand' also plays great with no pops, no clicks, and absolutely minimal background static. A great performance rounding off this great 1st pressed vinyl.

On this rare record the music jumps out with definition and clarity, the vocals come through with tremendous power. It's the same with the bass guitar and drums, whilst the guitars sound crisp and clear. The tonal quality makes this a sensational pressing. With the clear and extra loud First cut engineering giving the audio a vibrant sound which cannot be beaten.

A great all round example of this vinyl. Staggering first mix, unlike re-issues which often lack the sound or impact. This is a great Audio pleasure. There is very little static, the album sounds brilliant. 

I would have to give it a VERY GOOD PLUS to EXCELLENT PLUS audio grading.

THE RECORD - Visual Grading 

Deep clear grooves that can only be found on the original pressings, this vinyl set has not been over played, although it does show quite a few light marks and scratches. There are  small hairlines, a couple of obvious scuffs and a few marks. There are, however, no needle drops or deep needle scratches.

VINYL TESTED FOR ANY SIGNS OF WARPING:

Yes, NONE visible what so ever, when tested be sight and on a moving turntable.

THE COVER 

This extremely rare DENMARK pressing Comes with the original single format front laminated cover. These fabled 'Eskimo' covers were made in extremely thin card, laminated on the front only and with three flip backs on the rear. They were produced in such a small batch and were extremely prone to destruction. 

This is rare cover has light handling marks and corner wear, few light creases and indentations. 

The rear cover has some light discolouration, and light wear only.  There is no feathering to the opening, which is very rare.

THE LABELS 

Famous Parlophone labels are in great condition, no marks and barely any discernible spindle wear. With only a few short spindle traces. Great all round examples, with no loss of colour.

MINT: Virtually unplayed. The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover is pristine.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

V.G PLUS: The record will still be nice and shiny, but may have a few light marks, and will play well. Slight wear and tear on the cover.

V.G: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, etc.

FAIR: Fair. It is noticeable that the record has been played so much that the sound quality has deteriorated very noticeably. The cover and contents are showing signs of folding, scuffing of edges etc.
