Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my rare Beatles, Beatles Related and Rolling Stones records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, a very rare FRENCH CONTRACT / EXPORT pressing of The Beatles – Hello Goodbye b/w I Am The Walrus single on the Parlophone label with cat. no. R 5655 with MADE IN FRANCE on the label. This pressing was made by Pathe Marconi, because EMI could not cope with the demand of this single, so they contracted both Decca Records and Pathe Marconi France to also press this single.
The record is in VG+++ condition, there are some non-sounding hairlines and two small sounding scratches on the “I Am The Walrus” side. The labels are in VG++ condition, there are some spindle marks and some slight wear along the spindle hole on both sides.
The record comes with an original Parlophone company sleeve, which is in VG condition. There are some tears on the die cut hole and there is some wear on the opening edge. Further the back has some age browning.
This is a very rare French Contract / Export pressing of the Beatles’ Hello Goodbye single. Most copies of this single were played to death, resulting that not many are left in decent condition. This copy, however, survived and still looks and plays great. This is a real opportunity to complete your life-time Beatles record collection! A must have for all Beatles records collectors!
