GEORGE MARTIN IN COLLABORATION WITH THE BEATLES
OFF THE BEATLE TRACK
1964 1ST STEREO
CAT. NO. PCS 3057
-1/ -1 MATRICES
A 1964 1st Parlophone pressing in rarer at the time Stereo. Not only that but has 1G mother/ stampers on both sides and a factory sample sticker on the label. Would've been one of the first, if not the first, off the pressing machine! The inner sleeve has also been hand-stamped with a green E.M.I. mark as shown in top right corner. This LP as rare and as early as they could possibly come, and the vinyl is in outstanding condition too!

Sleeve: Very Good Plus condition. Has retained its original glossy finish, bright coloration and contrast... Corners are square with straight unblemished edges and spine the sleeve is structurally sound; no tears, rips, or repairs, and no blemishes such as writing, ring-wear, or indentations.  There is a slight rippling effect to the opening side extreme edges laminate and a few laminate creases on the front. Lies completely flat and the fold-over's are still well adhered and clean, albeit with a few small laminate creases.
The Vinyl: Grades as Excellent. Has retained a jet-black glossy pressing sheen all over both surfaces and looks to have been seldom played. There are no warps, no scuffs, no needle drops, no groove wear, no scratches, and no obvious hairlines. The surfaces are clean and have retained their original lustre and project a strong mirror-like shine. Inspected closely just several small feint hairlines here and there. The condition clearly shows the potential for an audio rendition as good as likely to be possible. Has retained a virtually unblemished sheen overall, having a mirror-like reflection and deep shine.

Mothers & Stampers: 1G/ 1G

Inner Sleeve: Original inner tracing-paper lined EMI advertising inner sleeve in Very Good Condition with no splits or major discolouration, and neat opening seam. Has a few handling creases. Very rare and fitting with the fact that it is a test pressing has been hand-stamped E.M.I.

The Labels: Excellent condition. No play-wear to the spindle perimeter, and only a few small localised spindle line traces the spindle point. A bold KT tax code present.

The Audio: There are no audible detractions, no discernible deviation from the original audio quality. It plays as well as likely to be possible, very clear and lucid with only the occasional static type sound tic which are only audible in a few of the linking grooves between tracks and possibly the odd static tic due to age of the record in some of the fades in's/ out's but absolutely nothing that would overpower. Lucid instrumental detail with perfect stereo channelling, deep bass and clear orchestrals. No jumps, no pops, no clicks, no skips, no background noise, no sticks etc. Comparable to new record quality. Excellent +.
