Description

This is an auction for The Beatles LP, For Sale.

This was released by Parlophone records in 1964 and has catalogue number PMC1240. This is the 1st press with a black and yellow label with "Recording first published 1964" and "The Parlophone Co Ltd" and "Sold In U.K." label text. This also comes with a G & L sleeve with the outline "Mono" on the front cover. Please check the pictures for clarification.

Matrix: XEX 503 3N    XEX 504 3N

Condition: The gatefold sleeve has one fault, I have pictured this on supersize for you, the bottom rear right corner has been damaged, the small piece hanging of is still attatched and can be stuck back down. This is already very discreet and only shows as a tiny tear in the centre. Other than that the sleeve is pretty much new, a few tiny lamination creases can be seen under a strong light. Spine and edges ex, no fingering indentations, suprb inside mouth, no discolouring or dirt marks of any kind. A fine crisp sleeve that if not for the bottom rear corner would certainly be near mint, as it stands graded at a strict VG, Obviously this looks much better than graded, stick the piece back down and upgrade.

This comes with its original "Emitex" inner sleeve which has a little yellowing but is otherwise in fine condition.

Both labels are clean and look new, under a strong light some spindle trails can be seen on each side. The centre hole shows a mere touch of wear, please check the pictures on supersize, being very fussy as usual.

The vinyl retains its new shine and looks immaculate in normal light. Under a very strong light a few tiny feather scratches can be seen. I have of course given this a test play through both sides and was pleased to find that this plays superbly well. The above mentioned feather scratches are completely non-audible. The audio is very strong and plays with no distortion, fading or dragging heard whatsoever. This plays with no lessening in sound quality and certainly does not appear to suffer from any reduction due to wear despite being played little more than a few times. Stunning quiet breaks and entries, I did not hear one single crackle on this through both sides, the audio is as good as you can find it and actually mint.

The vinyl for this I have to grade at Near Mint, despite being played little more than a few times and having a couple of feather scratches, which would mean I would normally grade at VG+, this does not have one audible surface noise, no hiss, crackle or feckling of any kind. The audio is simply as good as you can find it, the vinyl appears stunning and looks new, so a worthy near mint.

If your buying for sound quality this one is for you, I would recommend this to any collector of fine records simply for the audio which is perfect, with a fine sleeve to.
