THE BEATLES "BEATLES "FOR SALE"
PARLOPHONE RECORDS Cat# PMC 1240
Matrices end: 3N / 4N
**********************************************************
A 1964 UK pressing from the brilliant Beatles, who were prolific both in the recording studio - and touring and playing live shows everywhere!
This album was released in perhaps their busiest time, as they were now US and World famous, and everybody wanted a piece of the Fab Four.
In the studio with their musical advisor and wonderfully capable producer George Martin at this point in the sixties the MONO mix was given full consideration, and indeed they were limited to patching on 4 tracks to get the Stereo mastered - so it's understandable that collectors prefer the early albums in Mono (even up until the 'white album' the Mono lps are revered!).
This is a very early pressing, "Parlophone Co. Ltd" rim and "Sold In UK..." texts.
