HERE WE HAVE A VERY NICE, UK PARLOPHONE (PMC 1240) FIRST *MONO* PRESSING (December 1964) OF THE BEATLES' FOURTH LP, "Beatles For Sale"

PRESSED ON QUALITY HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL
WITH THE FIRST ISSUE YELLOW/BLACK PARLOPHONE LABEL WITH "The Parlophone Co. Ltd", "Recording first published 1964" and "Sold in the UK..." TEXT
THE SIDE ONE LABEL HAS THE RARE EMBOSSED 'MT' TAX CODE (this should actually be impressed with the 'KT' code which replaced "MT' on 1st July 1963)
THE RECORD IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL, OUTER LAMINATED FLIPBACK AND SINGLE FOLD OVER LEAF GATEFOLD SLEEVE, "Made and printed in Great Britain" (no printers credits) WITH THE OUTLINED "MONO" ON THE FRONT AND COMES COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL EMI EMITEX LINED INNER SLEEVE

LABELS: The labels are CLEAN and BRIGHT but they do have quite a few spindle marks but very little actual hole wear (please see photos)
VINYL Visual: Both surfaces have some light marks/scuffs but these are purely superficial with little audio consequence - the vinyl still retains its original DEEP GLOSSY sheen
VINYL Audio: OUTSTANDING audio - CRYSTAL CLEAR, VERY SHARP, FRESH and IMMEDIATE SOUND. There are NO sticks, NO jumps and NO scratches, just the occasional click/pop (mostly on the run-in to "Eight Days A Week" but this soon disappears as soon as the music proper begins). The LP plays up to a high standard with a nice CLEAN SOUND and must be graded EXCELLENT (side one) / VERY GOOD+ (side two) for audio. NOT over-graded in ANY way as I use STRICT RECORD COLLECTOR grading standards (please refer to my feedback and 'about me' page)
SLEEVE: The gatefold cover is also in EXCELLENT condition. The outer laminated surfaces have a BEAUTIFUL DEEP GLOSSY SHEEN with very little rubbing and the whole sleeve is CLEAN and UNMARKED with NO structural damage. The spine (which is 'pinched' at the top and bottom) displays all text CLEAR and SHARP
The original EMITEXT inner is also EXCELLENT with NO splits to any of the edges. It has the early 'greaseproof paper' type lining. The LP is now housed - and will be posted in - a new inner to prevent any 'knifing' damage to the original during transit
