Description

The BEATLES 45 rpm GREEN vinyl FAN CLUB record, 1977. Issued by private investor/fan Joe Pope. Same guy did all 7 of the Beatles Deccagone singles, plus 1 Command Performance EP, plus How do you do it / Revolution (live) Single from 1976! He did it all for the fans!! Vinyl Condition here is Goldmine EX. My highest grade! Essentially unplayed! And Cream color labels are clean, no writing. See photos. Picture Sleeve is EX also. All 7 regular Deccagone records come with common BLUE, YELLOW, RED, CLEAR, GREEN, ORANGE or PINK vinyl!! Additionally there are random irregularly issued colors: DARK-GREEN, SMOKE-GRAY, WHITE, TRANS-BROWN, SPLATTER, TRANS-GREEN. Yikes, 91 possible Collectables, I have 58 so far. AND there are numerous label colors and Font styles so HUNDREDS of total possibilities. I stopped counting after 91 color/song combos!! These 2 songs are: BESAME MUCHO (a Coasters cover) and TO KNOW HIM IS TO LOVE HIM (a cover of a song by The Teddy Bears (w/Phil Spector)). NOTE: The original background story on these Deccagone songs is there were 15 tracks recorded by the Beatles for a Decca audition on Jan. 1, 1962, in London. Brian Epstein picked the 15 songs that he thought represented their skill set and variety at the time. But they were nervous in a studio and under-performed. Yet some magic was captured in a raw way. One take of each song. And 3 early Lennon-McCartney tracks were included! Crazy cool!! All 14 Deccagone sides are MONO. And “Back to Mono” is etched in the inner matrix on 6 of 7 singles. Many people think lots of these are copies or fakes! I disagree!! So far as I can tell each is a legit Joe Pope record, maybe pressed over several years. Some sleeves seem blurred but are just poorer printings. All but a few have the same “west coast” thumb tab opening cut! ALL THE SLEEVE CUTS ARE THE SAME (95%)!! The last 2 records 1105/1106 have 2 different sleeves, for total of 9 various sleeves!! Some of these 14 tracks were also “live in Hamburg ‘62” singles! Including These 2 songs!! The normal 14 Deccagone songs are Common, not Hard to Find!! Request a copy of my Top 100 Hard to Find Beatles Songs on 45 Singles list, if interested, no charge. Stereo did not become common on 45s till 1969! Request a copy of my 150 Beatles Songs in Stereo on 45 Singles Worldwide, if interested, no charge. I have 58 different Deccagone Song/Vinyl Color combination, with sleeves, and every other PS has the Thumb Tab Cut. EXCEPT ONE!!! (See SURE TO FALL for the rarity). See photos. Photos 1 thru 5 are the sale item. This item Picture Sleeve has either ORANGE or WHITE Title Banner (2 versions). Records 1105-06 come with 2 different color banner sleeves. All are Equally available. This also comes with common White sleeve. It comes From 50+ year Beatles collector. Shipped with USPS Media Mail and Global Shipping Program.
