 Up for auction with NO RESERVE is this Limited Edition MFSL box set "The Beatles Collection" pressed in Japan on virgin 180-gram "SuperVinyl" and released in either September* or October of 1982 to widespread audiophile acclaim (*some sources list Sept. while others list October 1 - MFSL currently does not list the exact date of release on their website). 

Only 25,000 of these box sets were created and they sold out within one year of release (according to MFSL reports). 

This is set # 4299.

I bought this set brand new in '82 as a collectible and only opened it to find out what set # I had.  I never played any of the LPs because I wanted to keep them in pristine condition.

All original inserts are included.

I am also including the original receipt from my advance order for the set (notice the date is 8/23/82 - the set was not released until September or October). 

This set has always been kept in an upright position and in a climate controlled, smoke-free environment.

There are three blemishes and at least two of them are from the factory - the seam split on the Geo-Disc jacket and the dent at the top of the left-side door were present when I opened the box.  There is also a very small, virtually unnoticeable mark on top that also could have been from the factory. 

Also, the doors have never closed flush but they do latch completely. 

Inexplicably, and completely unlike me, I did not keep the original shipping carton.  I will, however, package this set with extreme care and with the utmost of protection in mind. 

SHIPPING CHARGES may calculate on the high end because this set weighs in at 20 pounds and I want to be sure I don't have to eat a big chunk of the shipping charges (as is always my policy, I will refund every cent of shipping paid by the buyer that exceeds actual cost).  I do cover the cost of insurance.

PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS: I ONLY accept payment via PayPal and payment is expected within three days of the auction's end.

RETURN POLICY: Because I am an individual and not a business, I DO NOT accept returns. However, I always want my buyers to be HAPPY and COMPLETELY SATISFIED with their buying experience from me. PACKAGING: I want you to receive your item without any damage from shipping. Therefore, I pack using sturdy boxes and lots of bubble wrap. I add NO extra charge for the packaging materials.

SHIPPING: I ship both National and International and charge ONLY the exact amount charged by the U.S. Postal Service. I combine shipping on multiple purchases. I typically ship within 3 business days of receiving notification of clear payment from PayPal. 

A NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING CHARGES: If you pay more for shipping than it actually costs then I will issue a refund for the difference to your PayPal account. I do not charge a handling fee and I have never charged more for shipping than it actually costs.
