THE BEATLES COLLECTION 1982, MFSL Half Speed Mastered Box set. Rare - #2,680. Condition is Used. Must sell.
This box set is used, but the records were never played and are pristine. I am not an expert, but each record appears to be flawless, and after examining it carefully, I’d say the whole package is probably near-mint. At worst, it’s in “excellent” condition.
The only issues I could find are some wear on the corners of the cardboard album sleeves (toward the top), and a small scuff mark on the top of the box. You can see what I mean in the photos. Also, the lock doesn’t engage all that tightly, but I’m not sure if that is the intended behavior.
Apart from those small flaws, this box set is in incredible shape. I didn’t see any scratches on the box (just that one scuff mark), and as mentioned, the records are pristine.
Also, and again, I’m no expert, but #2,680 is one of the lowest numbers for this box set I’ve seen on eBay.
There isn’t much left to say. It’s a fantastic box set that I wish I could keep. My father gave this to me years ago (he was an avid collector and treated his records with incredible care—and it’s always been in a smoke-free environment), and I haven’t touched it until today. My only request is that it go to a true Beatles fan—not to someone who plans to resell it. It needs a good home.
