THE BEATLES: BEATLES FOR SALE
A genuine 1st pressing of The Beatles for sale in superb condition. This is a Mono 1st Pressing in gatefold Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve. 1st pressings are demarcated by: small “The Beatles” under track listing on labels; "THE PARLOPHONE CO. LTD., ..." on the outer rim, the "SOLD IN U.K. ...." remark, and the "RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1964" statement; 1st pressing copies mistitled the track "Kansas City--Hey, hey, hey, hey" as "Kansas City" on back cover and label; Outlined large “ Mono” to the front cover; MT Tax Code ( in this case found on Side B); 1st Pressing Matrix Numbers.

GRADING
SLEEVE: EX
The notoriously fragile gate fold sleeve is in genuinely superb condition. The only notable wear being a slight bump to the bottom left hand corner (see pictures). The surfaces and edges are clean and clear from any wear or damage with the spine being unflattened and true (a huge rarity for this LP).
RECORD: VG+
There are a number of light sleeve removal marks. There are, of course, no scratches or feelable marks. The record plays through superbly with very light background between a couple of tracks and during a couple of quieter passaf=ge. Ther is no evidence of groove wear or any other damage that impacts on the listening experience.
The above record grading is based on Record Collector magazine system:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
