A 1964 first UK pressing from the brilliant Beatles, who were prolific in the recording studio - and were playing live concerts to satisfy the huge demands!
Live or in the studio with George Martin they were the best band of their time, no contest.
This FIRST UK pressing MONO LP is special and an essential album of early BEATLES releases.
Listening to the MONO mix is advised for this one, as Martin and the Fab Four finished the recording and mixing in mono and then left the studio staffers to do the stereo mix afterwards.
They seem to have had a very clandestine regard for that medium, as the vocals simply got put on the right channel and most instruments on the left! A little unimaginative to say the least. It wasn't until Sgt Pepper that things got any more sophisticated - probably stimulated by other artists who were exploring different possibilities in sound.
CONDITION;
The VINYL grades EXCELLENT visually, and with super clear sound playback. Very enjoyable!
Labels are EXCELLENT with no stains, stickers or pen.
The solid LAMINATED GATEFOLD COVER is VG++, flat, well preserved example. There's a small damage at the lower left seam for 1cm.
The Company rice paper INNER SLEEVE is included.
