Issue : UK Stereo 1st Pressing

This is a UK 1st pressing of the 'White Album' by The Beatles. This pressing has the top opening sleeve, dark green Apple labels, ‘Sold In The UK’, ‘Mfd In UK’ & ‘An E.M.I. recording’ printed on the left above the 33 1/3 label text, black inner sleeves, four photographs and the lyric poster. The records are the original heavy vinyl.

The records are in Excellent condition. The vinyl on each side is extremely glossy, with no whitening of the grooves at all. There are just a few light marks on each side. The green Apple labels are completely clean. The green is exceptionally bold, and the white is bright. The black text is sharp and there is hardly any noticeable spindle wear on both records. On playing the joyous sound of the Beatles sound is vibrant and extremely clear. There is no discernible interference with the sound quality on all four sides.

The records are complete with their original black inner sleeves. There is very little wear to the opening edges. One sleeve does have a torn section ( 50mm x 40 mm) from the inner circle (it's a small 2 sided tear -  none of the sleeve is missing). Otherwise the sleeves are in Excellent condition.

The photographs are in absolutely Nr. Mint condition. They look as fresh and vibrant as they did when issued.

The matt double sided poster too is in Excellent condition, it has not been posterised and remains in much the same condition as when it was originally bought.

The Garrod & Lofthouse top opening laminated sleeve is in Excellent/Near Mint condition. The laminate retains it’s high gloss and it is completely clean. The white has no discernible discolouration, it is still exceptionally bright and the number and Beatles embossed text are sharp and entirely unworn. On opening, the inside images and text are immaculate. The flipbacks are sealed and complete with no discolouration of any kind. The edges remain firm and unworn. The spine is crisp and crease free and the text is has not deteriorated in any way.

 SIDE 1 PCS 7067 - The label is unmarked and in Nr mint condition, the vinyl is EX+ with only a few hardly discernible light surface marks, has AH & YEX 709 1stamped in the dead wax. Play grade Nr MINT.

 SIDE 2 PCS 7067 – As side 1 the label is in Mint condition, has GGM & YEX 710 1stamped in the dead wax. The vinyl is Excellent. Play grade Nr MINT.

 SIDE 3 P-PCS 7068 - Again as with the first vinyl the label is Nr Mint and unmarked and the vinyl is Excellent with only few faint handling/usage marks, has HH & YEX 711 1 stamped into the deadwax. Play grade Nr MINT.

 SIDE 4 P-PCS 7068 – Again the label is in Mint condition and the vinyl Excellent with only very light, barely visible surface marks. It has the RT & YEX 712 1 stamped PCS into the deadwax. Play grade Nr MINT.

 SLEEVE No 0542910- a really stunning example and has got to be graded Near Mint/ Excellent, still holds its shape with an excellent spine and Nr Mint on the inside. The sleeve still retains it's original bright whiteness.

PHOTO'S / POSTER - All four photo's and the poster are original and in Near Mint condition.

The album is forty four years old, has been played but has been cherished, never stored flat and is genuinely a collectors item.

Mint: The record itself looks to be in new condition with no surface marks and probably no deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there should be very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging will have slight wear or creasing.

Very Good: The record looks to have been played many times, but should display no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and light scratches. There is normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects.
