One of the rarest and most collectible Beatles items, incredibly rare original true 1st US DECCA contract pressing release DECCA RECORDS, Gloversville, New York Pressing Plant. Unique set copy with the 2nd version cover, the rarest cover variation, with the metal street access lid on the front cover and "Her Majesty" track listed on the back cover. However, Side 2 label doesn't contain the "Her Majesty" song. The main definite characteristic of this being the DECCA contract pressing is the unique labels, manufactured at Capitol Records' Scranton, Pennsylvania Pressing Plant specifically for DECCA. Unlike the other pressings' labels, the DECCA'S labels have the "Produced by George Martin" and "Recorded in England" credits located together at the bottom right of Side 2 label and the "Abbey Road" title written in two lines. All of the other pressings have the credit phrases centered at the bottom of the apple or separated, with "Produced by George Martin" located in the upper right corner of the label and "Recorded in England" at the bottom left. Only the DECCA pressing has the two credit phrases appearing together at the bottom right of Side 2 label. Another unique feature of the DECCA Pressing labels is a 2.75" pressing ring. 1st issue thick cardboard 1st version cover with the square metal street access lid seen at the bottom right of the front cover (it's cropped in the later versions). The cover remains in its original shrink wrap with two original breathe holes at the top of the front cover. The full very early 1st matrix numbers are as follows: Side 1 - SO-1-383 K A-33 X-1 / Side 2 - SO-2-383 K F-32. The album comes with the original white paper inner sleeve.
CONDITION:
COVER: NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) Very clean cover with a sharp vivid print. The shrink wrap remains fully intact. The cover doesn't have any signs of ring wear, wear or splits. Sturdy spine with a fully readable text.
VINYL: EXCELLENT MINUS (EX-) The glossy vinyl has only a few very light hairlines and scuffs from the inner sleeve.
LABELS: NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) Very clean wear, spot and scuff-free labels., only containing some very light spindle marks on Side 2 that can be seen only under a strong light source.
ATTENTION INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS! USPS can no longer accept or deliver international mail temporary to several countries due to the service impacts. Please check whether your country is on the list of temporary service and guaranteed-delivery suspensions. Additionally, please take into consideration that the disruption of air mail schedule causes significant delays, which affect the expected delivery date declared by eBay and USPS. From our side, we guarantee the prompt shipping of the item within 24 hours after receiving payment.
Please pay attention that we DON'T ship to Russia and Germany. No exceptions. We'll immediately cancel the transaction if our policy conditions are violated. Sorry about that.
POLICY:
Realizing how important it is to secure the safety of the item you've paid your money for, I'll put my best effort into packing the records as best as possible, triple boxing them into the specialized professional boxes, with the two outer boxes having a special construction with extended cardboard on the edges to prevent the record covers' corners from getting damaged during the transit, and will also put the vinyl outside of the cover (of course, unless it's a sealed record) to prevent the splitting. I always try responding to the messages, but please, before sending me a message, make sure that the answer to your question isn't included in the description. I'll use my right to block a buyer, who doesn't correspond to my idea of politeness, culture and respect toward each other. If you want to participate in my auction, please be honest and positive, and I'll be mutual with you. I'll remove the bids of a buyer with zero rating, unless he contacts me prior to placing a bid.
