Description
This is an auction for The Beatles picture disc LP, Abbey Road.
This was released by Apple records in 1978 and has catalogue number 5C06204243. This was made in Holland and is a limited edition release which was capped at 30,000. Please check the pictures for clarification.
Condition: The sleeve comes in nice condition with a few small creases mostly seen along the edges and a touch of buffing seen to the corners, edges and inside circle edge at 12 o'clock. Spine ex, no tears, bends or discolouring and graded at a strict VG+.
This comes with its original polythene inner sleeve which is in fine condition.
The centre hole shows a little whitening to the very bottom of the centre hole on side one but otherwise looks new.
The vinyl looks brand new, I have looked at this under a very strong light and can not find a single mark or scratch on it. When I placed this on my spindle it was very tight indicating this may of only seen a deck once or twice. There are no spindle marks or spindle scratches around the centre hole, again possibly indicating its lack of play. I play tested this and was surprised to find that the audio is not perfect, after reading the rear sleeve notes I was not sure what to expect. The notes claim that the "Sound Quality May Not Be Comparable To The Conventional Edition" and they were not joking. This has no ticks or clicks or surface noise indicating scratches or vinyl faults but has recording feckling which was obviously part of this quality of release, hence the rear notes warning. So don't expect fine sound quality on this, I would suggest buying the conventional LP for sound and buying this for its novelty value. Anyway this is not far of as good as you can find it and graded at a cautious Near Mint, can't say how many times, if at all, its been played as it shows no signs of handling or playing.
A fine collectable, in superb condition, shame about the dodgy dutch audio.
