Description

This Beatles album on Parlophone (PCS  3058) was recorded to accompany their first feature length film in 1964. The album is in stereo and has the matrix numbers are YEX 126-1 and YEX 127-1 on sides 1 and 2 respectively. There are also the symbols 1 and P engraved in the inner vinyl on side 1 on opposite sides of the label. On side 2 the symbols are 2 and 11 (or H) - I cannot quite be certain. I purchased the album new in the '60s and have looked after it well. It has been stored vertically in a record cabinet alongside other LPs all its life.

The record has a few barely visible surface marks which can only just be seen if held at an angle with a light shining on it. It plays very well with superb sound and with no skipping or jumping. There seems to be hardly any surface noise or sound deterioration after all these years.

The front cover is in excellent condition with a clearly legible spine with no splits in the lamination. The back of the album cover is also in very good condition, though it has unfortunately a faint brown mark on the title "THE BEATLES" and just below the picture of John Lennon. I would imagine it was just one drop of coffee from many years ago. It can be seen on the photo of the back of the cover. The cover is printed by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd.

The album comes with its original inner sleeve which has no folds, splits or tears.

I am willing to post abroad. Please contact me for the postage cost in this case.
