Description

Hello there! Many thanks for perousing my items! When you've looked here, you might like to check out some of my other items, I have some other very rare Beatles etc. items currently listed with many more to come, heck, I'd even suggest you add me to your favourite sellers to keep on top of all the goodies that I'm going to list over the coming months!
I have collected records since I was very young, however Iincreasingly I have realised that I have far too many, and soI have been slowly trying to rationalise my extensive collection over the years, I have sold many major rarities over the years, from major BEATLES and 60s rarities, through PUNK and PROG ROCK, CLASSICAL and BLUES. Basically I've had alot of very rare records and in dribs and drabs have sold them off. I've never had negative feedback, and had many repeat customers. I will only post completely insured and tracked.
This week I'm selling most of the Beatles Christmas FanClub Flexi Discs in various conditions, but all sought after! Here we have the very rare UK xmas flexi disc from 1967, this was the 5th one, and the last of the flexi discs to have paper labels. What makes this particularly sought after (other than it's general rarity anyway!) is that the whole disc is interspersed with verses of a Beatles song not available anywhere else "Christmas Time (Is Here Again)", until it was eventually reissued in 1995 edited as a single uninterrupted track without the dialogue as the B-side to "Free As A Bird", as part of their Anthology releases.
All of the Beatles UK Fan Club Christmas Flexi Discs are highly sought after, but after the initial Beatlemania years they got much rarer, and this 1967 record is one of the rarest, not least because of the content.

RECORD CONDITION: SADLY THIS RECORD JUMPS. I certainly don't rule out that someone with more patience and expertise than me, might be able to rectify some of this, but there are some surface marks, but more importantly some handling indents on the actual playing surface (which I have tried to capture as clearly as possible in the photos), there are a few jumps, and I find (against the popularly held belief) that on my players, these are limited by a lighter stylus, rather than a heavier one, that said I still got some jumps when I played it through with a light stylus arm too.
RECORD LABELS: VG, A little bit of bubbling, and slight handling wear, though nothing major, and absolutely free of graffiti etc. Please see photos. These records were only pressed on one side, and run at 33 1/3 RPM

Secondly we have the very rare UK xmas flexi disc from 1966 (sorry not pictured), this was the 4th one,  entitled "PANTOMIME". Whist the Beatles had played around inventing sketches with each other seemingly off the cuff, whilst at the same time wishing their loyal fans all the very best for Christmas etc, this record was a more scripted affair not just a "get the lads in to read out their best wishes to their fans, generally lark-about and let the tape roll", but more of an edited, thought through piece, with sound effects etc.
All of the Beatles UK Fan Club Christmas Flexi Discs are highly sought after, but after the initial Beatlemania years they got much rarer, and this 1967 record is one of the rarest, not least because of the content.

RECORD CONDITION: VG+, it's actually in really nice condition, but for a fold at about 3 o'clock (which I have tried to highlight in photo 3). These discs are well known for needing special weighting etc to play at their best anyway, and I find that to get this play correctly I need to set the tone arm weight to quite light, in order to avoid it to jump once just near the end. If you set it right it plays completely through fine, but if not, there is a tendence for it to jump just near the end.
RECORD LABELS: EX+, Perfect, this label is clean and crisp, without wear/stains/graffiti etc. Really lovely.
These records were only pressed on one side, and run at 33 1/3 RPM
