THIS LIMITED RE-REALSE OF CAPITOL RECORDS 1976 PROMOTIONAL SET WAS ORDERED AS A CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR MY BROTHER IN 1978.  THESE SETS WERE NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, BUT FOR DISTRIBUTION TO COMMERCIAL RADIO STATIONS ONLY.  FORTUNATELY FOR MY BROTHER (WHO HAD RECENTLY LOST HIS RATHER EXTENSIVE COLLECTION OF ALBUMS IN A BURGLARY, MY HUSBAND ORDERED THE SET THROUGH HIS COUSIN,  THE SALES AND PROMOTIONS MANAGER FOR RADIO STATION KUPD FM,  IN PHOENIX.   

NEITHER LABELS OR VINYL BEAR THE WORDS "FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY."  THE ONLY INDICATION THAT THIS IS A PROMOTIONAL SET IS THE CLEAN BULLET HOLE IN THE CORNER OF EACH COVER AND SLEEVE.

WHILE SOME COVERS SHOW WEAR FROM SHELVING, BOXING AND MOVING, ALL BUT ONE IS IN TACT DOWN TO THE ORIGINAL SLEEVES.   IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT THE PROMOTIONAL ALBUMS, FOR THE MOST PART, DIDN'T COME WITH COLOR SLEEVES. SOME OF THESE DID AND ARE NOTED.

ONE ALBUM IS STILL FACTORY SEALED.  SIX MORE ARE STILL IN THE ORIGINAL  FACTORY SHRINK WRAP.  ONLY ONE OF THESE RECORDS HAS BEEN PLAYED MORE THAN TWICE.  MY BROTHER SO VALUED THIS SET THAT BOUGHT NEW ALBUMS IN AN EFFORT TO KEEP THIS SET IN TACT.  THIS SECOND CHANCE OFFERING IS OUR LAST DITCH EFFORT TO SEE THAT THEY STAY THAT WAY.

Each alblum has been conservatively rated based on guidelines set forth in Goldmine magazine.

SGT. PEPPERS LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND  [SMAS 2653]  Rubbing to back cover, doesn't obscure text. Shimmering vinyl. Orange label. Rated VG

Magical Mystery Tour  [SMAL 2835] Bump to top edge of gatefold. Evidence of light use to side two. Orange label. Rated VG

THE BEATLES  [SWBO 101]  The "White" album isn't as white as it used to be. Poster was hung, but is in tact and in remarkable condition considering its years of use. This is also the album with a replacement sleeve, evidenced by lack of bullet hole. Vinyl shimmers and bears no visible sign of use. Orange label. Rated  VG

YELLOW SUBMARINE [SW 153] Factory sealed first pressing. Rated NM+

HEY JUDE  [SW 385] Rubbing to back cover, creasing around bullet hole. Evidence of use to Side One. Orange label. Rated VG 

The Beatles/1967-1970  [SKBO 3404] Album cover shows considerable wear. All four sides of vinyl bear evidence of use. Blue labels and sleeves. Rated VG-

ROCK 'N' ROLL MUSIC  [SKBO 11537] Dent to bottom corner and rubbing to cover. Shimmering vinyl. Orange label. Rated VG

THE BEATLES AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL  [SMAS 11639] In factory shrink wrap. Pristine vinyl. Tear to side of sleeve. Hollywood Bowl label. Rated NM

LOVE SONGS  [SKBL 11711] Rubbing to cover and edges. Evidence of light use to all four sides. Book is like new.  Love Song sleeves and label. Rated VG
