The Beatles - ‘Rubber Soul’. PMC 1267
The Beatles 1965 UK MONO pressing of the ‘Rubber Soul’ LP. Released on the 3rd December 1965, this is the desirable XEX 579-5 / XEX 580-5 matrix version. It is widely regarded as the greatest sounding issue of Rubber Soul. It is offered here FULLY COMPLETE.
Released on the yellow and black Parlophone label both sides feature the ’Sold in UK….’ text and have ‘The Gramophone Co.Ltd’ rim print. This copy has the label error of having an additional dot within the wording ‘SOLD IN.U.K.’ on side one.
Side one reads: SOLD IN.U.K.
Side two reads: SOLD IN U.K.
Unusually no tax code is embossed on either side of the vinyl or within the run out area. The vinyl is housed within the original ‘Emitex’ inner sleeve and front laminated outer sleeve.
The matrix numbers are:
Side 1: XEX 579-5 2 OL
Side 2: XEX 580-5 1 ? 4 OP
The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+ condition on side one and VERY GOOD condition on side two.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT condition.
The sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition. Name written neatly on the rear.
The inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD- condition. I shall include an additional new inner sleeve to protect the original.
