The Beatles - 'Help !'. PCS 3071
The Beatles 1965 UK 1st STEREO FACTORY SAMPLE DEMO pressing of the 'Help !' LP. Released on the 6th August 1965, and offered here FULLY COMPLETE and in WONDERFUL EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT+ condition.
These initial early factory sample pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers, radio stations or used as quality control within the pressing plant.
Released on the yellow and black Parlophone label both sides feature the 'Sold in UK....' text and have 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd....' rim print. The 'KT' tax code is embossed on the side 2 label. The sleeve is the original front laminated 'PATENTS PENDING' sleeve with outline STEREO logo to the front. The vinyl is housed within the original emitex poly lined inner sleeve. Both the rear outer sleeve and inner sleeve are stamped ‘-8 AUG’ (see pictures). Just two days after the release date this maybe the date on which the reviewer or radio station received the LP. A great example of this early 1965 factory sample demo pressing in rare STEREO format.
The matrix numbers are:
Side 1: YEX 168-1 3 T
Side 2: YEX 169-1 1 G A
The vinyl is in EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT+ condition.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT condition. BUT side one has a name written lightly (hard to see).
The sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition. Small are of wear to the front otherwise would grade as EXCELLENT-. Release date stamped on rear. Name written neatly on rear.
The inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition. Release date stamped. LP title and name written neatly. I will include an additional inner sleeve to protect the original.
This LP will be very carefully packaged for transit. UK recorded postage is: £4.55. EU recorded postage is: £12.95. Rest of the world recorded postage is: £18.95. Combined, reduced postage is available.
