Description
The Beach Boys 'Surfin Safari' 7" Vinyl 45 RPM w/Picture sleeve; USA Capitol 4777, b/w '409', released in 1962 from their album 'Surfin' Safari'. A huge milestone in what was to become a phenomenally successful legacy, 'Surfin' Safari' was the Beach Boys' first Billboard Top 40 hit in the US. Vinyl is in excellent condition with shiny, mirror-like playing surface; no abrasion wear or writing on labels, only a few very light hairline scratches on each side. Sleeve is in very good+ condition with no writing, edge wear, price tag stickers, stamps, labels, tears, abrasion wear, and all (4) corners are tight and surface flatness is superb; some inner & outer vinyl ring impression, some minor surface buckling/crinkling near corners, and there is a 3" long seam split approximately centered on the right edge (with respect to A-side facing front), and a 2" long seam split centered approximately on the left edge, top edge has some very minor wear on it. See photos. Vinyl and sleeve are both in great condition for being well over 50 years old!
