Description
- The Band released their triple-disc live album "The Last Waltz" in April 1978 on Warner Bros. Records. This legendary farewell concert was recorded at Winterland in San Francisco on November 25, 1976 and was filmed for a documentary movie by Martin Scorsese. It was the last album for the original five members of the group and their list of special guests included Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Van Morrison, Neil Diamond, Dr. John, and many others. The marathon concert was produced by Bill Graham and included Thanksgiving dinner for all 5,000 fans lucky enough to get tickets.
- This copy of (3WS 3146) is from the First Pressing and is in exceptional condition. The textured cover still has its original Factory Shrink Wrap and is easily VG+ with only the slightest shelf wear. The original 12-page velum Photo & Credits Booklet and inner sleeves are pristine. Please see the pictures. All three discs test played cleanly and are also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered at Allen Zentz Mastering in Hollywood and was pressed at the Capitol Records plant in Los Angeles. The Side One dead wax is etched 3WS-1-3146-Rec-1 LW-1 AZCB.
- In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

- This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 43 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
