Nearly all 1st pressings of this LP were sold in mono - although even did these did not sell well as it was difficult to tell who the LP was by without a name on the front cover. It is much rarer to get a stereo 1st pressing of this LP.
Cover: 1st STEREO UK pressing Garrod & Lofthouse laminated front (unlaminated rear) non-gatefold cover with triple flip-backs. This is the earliest cover without the name of the band or the title shown on the front cover. Comes with the original 'patents pending' text and 'File Under Pop Groups' text on rear cover. No writings, doodles or seam splits. Lovely clear spine. Rates as Excellent+.
Inner sleeve: Comes with the original 'ads' inner sleeve which is Near Mint.
Labels: Excellent+. These are the rarer green UK 1st pressing Capitol 'export' stereo labels with the "Made by Electric & Musical Industries Ltd. in Gt Britain" 1st pressing text. Track 5 on Side 2 has the rare 1st pressing error - should be "This Wheel's on Fire" but just states "Wheels on Fire". The more common mono labels had 'rainbow' capitol labels. These stereo 1st pressings were for both the UK domestic market and for export to some European countries that were more advanced in buying stereo hi-fi players e.g Scandinavia and Germany.
Vinyl: Not play tested. Lovely sheen to the vinyl. Track 1 (Side 1) has three non-feelable scratches which might cause some clicks/noise. However, the rest of the vinyl looks to be Near Excellent to Excellent. Visually it rates as VG+ overall.
