Description
Here's an original 1969 US pressing of THE BAND'S ST LP, their second effort, on the lime green target label. RL stamp on both sides of the run out insures that Robert Ludwig was the Mastering engineer on this pressing. This copy also has the Jenn Simon credit on both the labels and back cover along with songwriting credits on the labels. The IAM stamp on side 2 of the runoff indicates it was pressed at the Scranton plant which was the first pressings. The cover is textured. A great super clean and beautiful copy of this amazing LP. The Band exploded to the forefront of the music world with this release along with Music from Big Pink. They stepped out from the shadow of Bob Dylan, and they produced with these first two LPs the blueprint for successful Americana music.
The COVER is in outstanding NM condition with a couple blemish marks on the front along the spine. Also a couple of very small dings to the top seam, which are almost insignificant, The LABELS are perfect, and the VINYL plays NEAR MINT. A gorgeous first pressing of this essential LP.
