Description

** DISCLAIMER - This record does NOT play at the beginning of each side due to an edge warp! (Approximately the first one-third of each side). This record needs to be flattened to play the entire songs on each side. **

For sale is a rare copy of the BALTINEERS doo wop 78 "Tears In My Eyes / Joe's Calypso" on the historic Teenage Record Co. label. This copy has a very slight edge warp (as shown in the picture) of which it cannot be played at this area on each side due to being spun around at 78 RPM.

Besides the warp, the condition is V all the way per the VJM grading scale. The labels are solid - "Joe's.." has some spindle marks, "Tears.." doesn't have any. The one feelable "V" scratch (also shown) does not affect play. Lastly, the "Tears.." side has many small pock marks and a few creases on the surface that do not affect play. I can't imagine the material this company had to work with was very high quality whatsoever..

This copy sounds very good at the areas I can play (the last two-thirds of each side) - please listen to the sound files I've provided links to and feel free to ask any further questions. Based on discussions with professional-seller friends of mine, this record can be flattened -  if you perform this and give it a thorough cleaning, it will play even better. Good luck!
