In celebration of the artistry of violinist Mischa Elman, Vanguard released these 1966 recordings a year later, soon after the virtuoso passed away.

Brilliant work, wonderful intonation, as the “man with the golden bow” delivers Kreisler-Dvorak SLAVONIC FANTASIE, Tchaikovsky RUSSIAN DANCE, Debussy LA PLUS QUE LENTE, Gluck LARGO, Smetana FROM THE HOME COUNTRY, Faure BERCEUSE, and Espejo AIRS TZIGANES, among others.

A vinyl prize: Cover of this copy merely has some pencil notes on back; otherwise, crisp and clean.  Inside, is the original Gold label platter in near-mint playing condition.

Worthy of the finest vinyl library.  Not to be missed.
