The Animals – Animalisms 
The Animals were an English band of the 1960s, formed in Newcastle upon Tyne during the early part of the decade. The band moved to London on finding fame in 1964. The Animals were known for their gritty, bluesy sound and deep-voiced frontman Eric Burdon, as exemplified by their signature song and transatlantic No.1 hit single, "The House of the Rising Sun", as well as by hits such as "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place", "It ’s My Life", and "Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood". The band balanced tough, rock-edged pop singles against rhythm and blues-oriented album material. They were known in the US as part of the British Invasion.
This is the original UK mono press with very early stampers. Decca used the word BUCKINGHAM for numbering of the Stampers so 1U 1B is very early!!! Although this record has quite a few spindle marks it has been well looked after. It does have a few superficial marks but the audio is still superb – I have grading it as very good but it plays a lot better! If it’s great audio you want this is the record for you!!! The cover is also in great condition which is quite unusual for sleeves with a white unlaminated back!!!

The album is on Decca Records, LK 4797. Matrix side one: XARL-7225-1A   Mother 1 Stamper U (stamped). Matrix side two: XARL-7226-1A   Mother 1 Stamper B (stamped).

Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system)
Vinyl side 1: excellent (has a few superficial marks that do not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, skips or clicks and minimal crackle!).
Vinyl side 2: very good (has a few superficial marks that do not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, skips or clicks and minimal crackle!).
Cover (outer laminated, flipback): very good (the cover is in really great condition with just a few very light creases and one or two small marks on the back).
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
