RECORD CONDITION: NEAR MINT
This is a record that looks like new, there are very few visual signs of age or use here. It has the pristine sheen of a new record; there are no bad scratches and no manufacturer’s defects in the vinyl. The paper scuffs, which it is virtually impossible not to find some of, unless a piece of vinyl is being unsealed for the first time, are very few and far between, even under a strong light bulb. The label is clean and un-marked, spindle wear suggests that this album has only been played a few times, I’d have a guess that ten or twelve times is probably about the maximum, possibly a good deal less! Putting the needle down for the first time certainly feels like playing a new record, there is no surface noise at all. And as for audio clarity, well right from the opening blast of the garage-rock classic ‘Baby Please Don’t Go’ there is a powerful feel to the sound coming out of these speakers, no rough edges smoothed out - it sounds exactly the way it was meant to, exactly the way it was cut. There are virtually no pops or clicks to talk about, throughout the album and between the tracks the needle keeps running through beautiful clean grooves. At worst, there are a couple of other isolated pops, but basically this is a pristine piece of vinyl with superb audio clarity.
COVER CONDITION: VERY GOOD+
This is an original album cover complete with original inner sleeve that is undamaged and has not been subjected to any kind of abuse. It is the front laminate flip-back design and the entire sleeve is fully intact, there has been no un-sticking, and both the front and back covers display only the faintest fading in the quality and definition of the artwork, although the white background on the back has faded a little more in places due to it not being laminated. The main signs of age and use are general, particularly in the form of some very light and faint creasing on the front and back. There is a little light laminate creasing near the spine. The edges and the spine all display some light scuffing effects but this is never serious enough to cause a tear or a hole, and the text on the spine is still clearly legible. Neither the front nor the back has developed any ring-wear, which is both unusual and very good news! Overall, this is a used but still fully useable and good looking album cover.
