THE AMBOY DUKES - 'THE AMBOY DUKES.' Ted Nugent! MONO.
UK 1st pressing on textured FONTANA labels. TL 5468. (1967).
SAMPLE COPY! Beyond rare. Grades EX-/VG (Cover graded first).
134 gram pressing.
Original UK first pressing LP of this classic Detroit psych/rock album on FONTANA labels, in much scarcer MONO.

Front laminated UK flipback sleeve grades VERY GOOD (VG) to VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) condition overall. Intact, fully legible spine. Clean and solid condition with only very, very minor handling and storage wear. The laminated front is very clean and vibrant. The front grades a full EXCELLENT. The reverse of the sleeve shows some yellowing and discolouration from age. There are NO rips, tears or repairs to this fragile designed sleeve. NO writing, NO sticker marks and barely any ring wear, spine wear, edge wear or shelf wear. The laminated front has a little bit of laminate creasing on the bottom left and middle right areas, but this quite slight and barely detracts from the overall impact of this sleeve artwork. There is a slight stain on the top right reverse of the sleeve, just underneath the catalogue code: TL5468 683 742 TL (approx 10mm round).
Vinyl grades VERY GOOD (VG) condition. I am conservative with my grading. It sounds fantastic but it does have some scuff marks and numerous light scratches which do sound, however, the rich MONO recording, loud mix and quality of the Fontana pressed vinyl makes it play a lot better than it might look.
Brilliant debut album by The Amboy Dukes. Worth the price of entry alone for the tracks 'Baby Please Don't Go', 'Let's Go Get Stoned', 'Colours' and 'Down On Philips Escalator'. High octane fuzz, psych, feedback and other Gibson Byrdland madness from the NUGE.
Remember too that this is a factory mono 'SAMPLE' copy. There can't be too many of these about.
