BUD POWELL LP THE AMAZING BUD POWELL Vol. 1 (Blue Note Records BLP 1503).
Early US mono "Deep Groove" pressing with the W. 63rd. St. address printed on both sides of the label. "RVG" & the "ear" insignia are etched in the dead wax on both sides. Included is the original custom-printed Blue Note inner sleeve with nice pictures of other great releases of the day, such as John Coltrane, Art Blakey, Thelonius Monk & Donald Byrd. Constructed with high-quality materials such as heavy fiberboard cover & nice thick heavy vinyl. The disc is pressed with a sharp edge. Max Roach, Fats Navarro & Sonny Rollins all play on this album! Great sound on the cowbell, thanks to the the artful engineering of Mr. Rudy Van Gelder. Long informative liner notes by experienced jazz critic Leonard Feather. (Matrix #:"BN-LP 1503-A RVG").
COVER - VERY GOOD PLUS
Cover is free of seam splits, cut-out marks, stickers, writing & color fading. At bottom left corner, an area of sticker residue covers less than 2% of the surface area. Some rubbing with no ring wear. Slight corner banging & noticeable edge wear. Two small eighth-inch discoloration spots on back cover. Paper inner sleeve is in great shape with no marks, tears, stains, folds or writing. Vintage blue & white Deep Groove label is in excellent shape, with no marks, writing, stickers, fading or cuts. Sharp print, rich color on label. Really neat & sharp cut hole with inaudible faint, transparent spindle scuffs.
DISC - VERY GOOD PLUS
We give great importance to grading our items accurately. Three slight scratches & an eighth-inch scuff do not seriously mar the surface. No skips, warping, stains, streaking, shiver scrapes or residue on the disc or dead wax. Album has been stored upright in a safe manner.
