        Arranged by Quincy Jones & performed by The Ray Brown Orchestra
Original US-pressing from 1970 on the obscure label SYMBOLIC, SYS 9000, first press with deep gooved labels. This is NOT the much weaker Original Soundtrack album of the movie “The Adventureres” but a genius re-score by Quincy Jones for the Ray Brown Big Band. Strong tracks musically alternating big band jazz, very little EZ and wicked porn funk as in “Polo Pony” and “Coming And Going” . Wah-Wah guitars, flute solos, Fender Rhodes, ecstatically moaning, fuzz-guitars and more. Unfortunately not to be heard on youtube but there are 17 (!) minutes on mixcloud. Hard to find and highly recommended !

Condition: the record looks & plays in mint-. The cover shows just a hint of slightest shelfwear, all seams/spine are intact with just a hint of slightest rub in a few spots at the corners, front & back are real fine, there are 2 tiny initials inside the cover, where the record is stored, and therefore not to be seen from outside; overall mint--.

Zustand: LP ist optisch & akkustisch in mint-. Das Cover hat nur allerleichteste Lagerspuren, alle Kanten sind intakt mit ganz leichtem Abrieb an den Ecken, Vorder- & Rückseite sind sehr schön erhalten, 2 winzige Initialen sind im Inneren des covers geschrieben, sieht man von Außen deshalb nicht; insgesamt in mint--. alle Platten habe ich professionell gereinigt und angehört (meist ganz, manchmal in Ausschnitten). Kommen mit neuer Außen- & Innenhülle !

Grading & Cleaning:

  • the record has been cleaned on my professional HANNL record cleaning machine

  • after that I playgraded it (completely or at least in parts) on my Rega Planar 9, Moving Coil cartridge by EINSTEIN:TU-3 Super Fine Line ( please consider that the playback might differ a bit depending on your own equipment )

  • I also visually graded the record in daylight, in normal artificial light & under a strong halogen lamp

  • only an unplayed record is mint, the highest grading for a used record is mint- ! My basic gradings are: mint – ex – vg

  • cleaned records are stored in a new pro innersleeve and they are placed in a PVC protection-sleeve
