Brilliant English band formed in Kentish Town, North London in 1963, originally as The Boyfriends, changing then to The Boys before finally settling on The Action. They were part of the mod subculture, and their soul music-influenced popwas very popular in the London clubs . It is rumoured that, whenever they played in Brighton, they were met on the outskirts by a convoy of scooters to guide them in to the venue. This, their first single from 1965, was produced by George Martin.
Several years later vocalist Reggie King went on to make a solo album for United Artists and guitarist Alan King played with Ace who had the Top 20 hit with “How Long”.
The vinyl and sleeve are both VG to Excellent
