THAD JONES "THE MAGNIFICENT THAD JONES" LP - On Blue Note Records, #1527. Extremely rare 1956 Mono 12" LP, double sided DEEP GROOVE with the classic Blue & White labels and the 767 Lexington AVE NYC address on both labels. FLAT EDGE with RVG engraved in the dead wax of both sides. The "ear" is engraved in the dead wax on side 2 only. Thick vinyl, thick glossy cardboard cover. The personnel: Thad Jones/trumpet; Billy Mitchell/tenor sax; Barry Harris/piano; Percy Heath/bass; Max Roach/drums. The vinyl is in VG to VG+ condition. Although there are light surface scratches/sleeve marks, the vinyl still maintains great sheen. The thick cardboard cover displays nicely. Bottom seam clear taped discreetly. Very small owner name & address ink stamp on top of back side. Address on back cover is 767 Lexington Ave., New York 21.
