Super rare test pressings for the limited edition double, 45 RPM reissue of Bill Evan's 1961 jazz classic, "Waltz For Debby." Michael Fremer rated this record an 11 out of 11 for both music and sound. It is the only record yet reviewed by musicangle.com to receive the highest possible rating.

These highly collectible test pressings are from the first stamper and sometimes less than 10 exist. Test pressings reflect the closest you can get to the lacquers and hence have a special collectible value.
Condition: Album is new and still sealed in it's original plastic sleeve. Perforation is completely intact. Both albums top right corner has been stubbed causing a horizontal crease.
Disclaimer: Because this record is sealed, I am taking it on faith that the vinyl within is what's marked on the jacket. As I've said, it's the only identifying marker on the LP.

Review: This is the second of two Riverside albums made up of selections recorded by the classic Bill Evans, Scott LaFaro, and Paul Motian trio at their legendary live recording session of June 25, 1961. Although originally issued a half-year later than Sunday At The Village Vanguard, this was by no means an afterthought collection of lesser items: Evans and producer Orrin Keepnews immediately recognized that there was more than enough material for two top-level records. The dozen chosen performances were subdivided to enable the first album released to feature LaFaro--who died in an auto accident just ten days after recording. Thus this second collection can fairly be said to present a more typical overview of this remarkable unit at work.
