ARTIST: TEN YEARS AFTER
TITLE: CRICKLEWOOD GREEN
YEAR: 1970
CAT NO: SML 1065
LABEL & COLOUR: RED/WHITE
COUNTRY: UK
MATRIX Nos: 1st PRESSING (1W & 1W)
All of my records That I'm selling are from my own Personal Collection that I have collected and cherished for over 45 years and which have been generally kept and looked after to the highest standard. All Records that I do offer will have NO Warps,Jumps, sticks, writing on covers or labels unless clearly stated in descriptions.
Vinyl Condition: EX Visually the vinyl is in a Unmarked Condition - This 1st Press Vinyl at least has not been played to death and destruction like most - It has been carefully played a minimal number of times over the early years and then stored away in a cupboard shows generally nothing but only light use for its 41 years life span - With NO needle mark scratches or any other bad marks that I can visually see or detect that will affect the Audio Playback - When examined on closer examination under a strong angled light it reveals nothing more than a few very mild light hairlines across surfaces and some usual insignificant disc inner sleeve removal faint wispy light lines here and there that absolutely doesn’t affect the virtually near perfect audio playback (this doesn't in anyway detract from the overall excellent condition on both sides) - The vinyl still retains all its original jet black shiny gloss mirror like sheen and lustre - It would be very hard these days to find a better vinyl copy of this 1st Stereo Pressing Record that plays without any problems! It’s a Great Example!!!
Please Note: This record has been stored away and not touched or cleaned for most of it's 42 years it would obviously benefit from a professional clean before play as to reduce further any light static crackle that may be still present
AUDIO PLAYBACK ASSESSMENT: - SUPERB UNINTERRUPTED CRYSTAL CLEAR CLARITY AND POWER ON AUDIO PLAYBACK END TO END - Audio is Graded as EX to Near Mint - This vinyl visually looks like its hardly been played that much and shows NO heavy marks or scratches and still looks an Amazing example - There are No major Clicks, pops, skips, jumps or repeats and shows No other annoying audio noise distortions during playback If I'm going to be Ultra Critical whilst listening through the playback you may get occasionally when the very quiet tracks begin to play or on the start of run ins and inbetween tracks and the very quieter elements of audio playback or if at all you may get some very light static crackle for a second or two and then it just fades away but absolutely nothing of any consequence on this 42 year old Classic that will spoil your overall enjoyment of this exceptional Iconic Classic Album - Overall its just a Fantastic listening Experience that comes from this near Perfect Dynamic Stereo Audio performance!!!
Labels Condition: NM Original 1st Press Red & White Deram Labels that are still in a superb bright bold colour - visually looks in an unmarked condition with no obvious evidence of any wear around the spindle hole that can be seen - Even under a bright angled Halogen light it shows very little spindle traces around the spindle hole it's certainly evident that it was not overplayed and was very well cared for over its 41 year life
Cover Condition: EX-NM An Original UK Garrod & Lofthouse Matt Gatefold cover - This Clean Virtually Mint intact Unmarked cover is still in an all around Exceptional Pristine near Perfect condition and is a Fantastic example of a well preserved looked after cover with virtually NO storage wear - That's totally intact with Superb straight unworn edges and opening edge with excellent pointed corners - The sleeve looks exceptional and virtually unblemished Inside and Out and still shows all the original clean bold colouring that is near perfect - The sleeve being mainly a creamy yellow colour across the front and back which is usually extremely vulnerable to getting dirty and grubby - But this one is the opposite being very clean and shows barely any handling evidence that can be seen with the inside of Gatefold overall is near perfect condition - This cover is one of the best that I have seen over the years that's not in a grubby worn falling apart state - It would be very difficult to find and improve on this 1st Press cover!!!
Spine Condition: NM The un-laminated Spine is still in exceptional condition straight - clean undamaged being in virtually perfect preserved condition just a little light storage rub wear at each end of spine (not that noticeable) - All written text still showing to be bold clear legible and perfectly worded as it was printed!!!
Inner Sleeve: NM The original 'Stereo' Blue & White Sleeve is Totally intact and shows No real evidence of handling or yellow/brown ageing discolour - Absolutely NO Tears,Splits,Ink Writing,Stickers or other Blemishes
The overall Brilliant Pristine condition of this Album is mainly due to the superb dry storage conditions and thick plastic cover protection on this LP Record over it's Lifetime!!!
Thanks for Looking and Happy Bidding!!!
