From my own personal collection I am pleased to offer an exceptional example of the brilliant live blues/rock album by TEN YEARS AFTER titled “UNDEAD”, Catalogue Number DML 1023. This is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK MONO 1st PRESSING on the BROWN & CREAM DERAM RECORD LABEL, with a superb CLOUT & BAKER LTD. front-laminated single sleeve. Complete with the correct Decca poly-lined inner sleeve. [The matrix numbers are the earliest ARL-8390-1B and ARL-8391-1B].
The sleeve is in EX+ condition with virtually no wear and only very minor creasing. The un-laminated back cover is still nice and clean with only very minimal age discoloration. Overall this is a great sleeve which should please even the most discerning collector.
The record is visually in EX+ condition. It’s a nice solid pressing with a smooth rounded rim edge. It is slightly dished but rotates perfectly evenly when sat on a felt turntable mat. The brown & cream Deram labels are unmarked apart from some spindle traces near the centres. Audio playback is MINT- throughout. Both sides play perfectly with no deterioration in sound quality and virtually no unwanted noise at all. This is very important for this album as there are many quiet passages which are easily ruined by unwanted surface sound. It’s also a great live album with some wonderful guitar effects.
The correct white poly-lined Decca inner sleeve is in unmarked EX condition.
Overall this is a fantastic mono copy which plays like new. Almost impossible to find like this!
GRADINGS
The records that I offer for sale have been critically play-graded, at loud volume, on a Rega P5 turntable fitted with an Elys 2 cartridge. I will only sell records that play to a high standard. My gradings are strict and in accordance with the following descriptions:
· MINT- Record is superb, almost like new, with just a few sleeve removal type surface marks and no deterioration in sound quality. Sleeve is near perfect in all respects.
· EX Record is a top quality example, with just a few very light surface marks which do not sound, and barely any discernable deterioration in sound quality. Sleeve has slight wear and/or creasing.
· VG Record has some visual surface marks, but still plays to a high standard without any major deterioration in sound quality – just a few clicks or light surface sound in places. Sleeve has normal wear and tear without any major defects. Still a very presentable sleeve.
