Ssssh was Ten Years After's new release at the time of their incendiary performance at the Woodstock Festival in August, 1969.
As a result, it was their first hit album in the U.S., peaking at number 20 in September of that year but didn't chart in the UK.
This recording is a primer of British blues-rock of the era, showcasing Alvin Lee's guitar pyrotechnics and the band's propulsive rhythm section.
As with most of TYA's work, the lyrics were throwaways, but the music certainly is not.
Featured is a lengthy cover of Sonny Boy Williamson's "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl," with reworked lyrics leaving little doubt as to what the singer had in mind for the title character.
Also included was a 12-bar blues song with the ultimate generic blues title "I Woke Up This Morning."

LABELS: EXCELLENT++
Clean labels with a few very light marks on the white portions, a few spindles on Side Two (less than a handful) but only one or two on Side One
VINYL Visual: EXCELLENT+
Both surfaces shine like new with just a couple of superficial light marks/hairlines - these have no audio impact at all
VINYL Audio: NEAR MINT
Sounds wonderful and my play-check at loud volume found no audio issues of note - beautifully clean pressing (practically silent run-ins and track divisions) - no scratches, no clicks or pops and no groove-wear or distortion (barely been played) - lovely copy and they really don't come much better (probably exceeds its NM grading as it's flawless but it has been played so I will err on the side of caution)

One of the finest examples I have seen - crisp, sharp and fresh with very little wear to speak of
