Another from my personal collection of over 50,000 albums collected over a period of more than 45 years! Being an avid collector of Ten Years After UK pressings I have acumilated many many copies of this album and many variations on both labels and audio mixes! This album has been carefully stored in a case, with the sleeve and cover seperated from the vinyl.  The vinyls playing surface is in awesome condition minimal play only in my opinion, it has obviously been played but certainly not over played in my opinion,  Near as mint awesome top audio on all frequencies! Features the earliest -1u matrix and the earliest"1"to "1" mother stampers on both sides. Earliest for the best audio quality on vinyl! Very collectable like this!

Becoming very hard to find with near as perfect audio quality! Very collectable and sought after like this!

The 1st issue cover is very hard to find in decent condition being primarily dark brown has light rubbing wear to mention only and graded at least excellent, complete with the correct record sleeve insert!

Positive Vibrations is the eighth studio album by the English blues rock band, Ten Years After, which was released in 1974.

Shortly after the release of this album, the band broke up. The album peaked at #81 in the US Billboard 200 chart.

Ten Years After are an English blues rock band, most popular in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Between 1968 and 1973, Ten Years After scored eight Top 40 albums on the UK Albums Chart.

In addition they had twelve albums enter the US Billboard 200, and are best known for tracks such as "I'm Going Home", "Hear Me Calling", "I'd Love to Change the World" and "Love Like a Man".

Their musical style consisted of blues rock, and hard rock.

The band's core formed in late 1960 as Ivan Jay and the Jaycats.

After several years of local success in the Nottingham/Mansfield area, known since 1962 as the Jaybirds and later as Ivan Jay and the Jaymen, Alvin Lee and Leo Lyons founded Ten Years After.

Ivan Jay (born Ivan Joseph Harrison, 1939, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, died in April 2009, USA) sang lead vocals from late 1960 to 1962 and was joined by Ric Lee in August 1965, replacing drummer Dave Quickmire (born David Quickmire, 1940, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire), who had replaced Pete Evans (born Peter Evans, 1940, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire) in 1962. Ray Cooper (born 11 November 1943, Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire) played rhythm guitar, vocals from 1960 to 1962.

All songs written by Alvin Lee, except where noted.

The Matrix

Side 1. "CHR 1060 A-1U"

Side 2. CHR 1060 B-1U"

The Mother Stampers

Side 1 "1" "GG" (Look Earliest "1"to"1" Mother Stampers)

Side 2 "1" "R" (Look Earliest "1"to"1" Mother Stampers)

(Earliest Mother stampers on both sides for the best audio quality found on vinyl)

The vinyl
This is the heavier and thicker original type of vinyl and therefor much more robust! later press were much more flimsier! The vinyl lays perfectly flat on the turntable, and is free of any warping!  The vinyl playing surface is superb in my opinion

On initial inspection the vinyl looks superbe, only in strong light could possibly any, or very few light whispy surface sleeve removal marks/scuffs only possibly be seen, at least no marks that would cause any loud constant clicks or pops!

The Audio

The audio was superbe, like a new vinyl! crystal clear and vibrant with (no) signs of any groove ware or that this has been overplayed at all! So rare to find like this for a led zep vinyl original that is nearly 40 years old! absolutely top Near as mint audio! The Audio is as good as it gets in my opinion Graded Near Mint Throughout! (Noted Earliest '-1' stampers makes this one of the best sounding copies that you could possibly get on vinyl in my opinion!}

Points to note! this album has been stored in a case laying dormant for at least 45 years! from my personal experience this vinyl would benefit from a constant clean before each play!,, as biuld up of dirt and dust in the grooves over a period of laying dormant causes static crackle! constant cleaning drasticly reduces this and greatly improves the audio quality!
all tracks play awesome with (no) loud clicks pops or any major interfearance.

Absolutely top near mint audio on all frequencies!

please note!! I always add this disclamer! i have described as usual this vinyl giving my honest opinion on the audio quality! please allow for the odd static tick or crackle (not) consistent throughout the audio!! this is a genuine original 45- year old vinyl that would have been originally played on a 45 year old system! in my personal opinion this played through with (no) clicks pops and certainly (no) skips or jumps and is graded at the very top! on all frequencies!

The labels
These are the 1st UK nissue green Chrysalis labels!
Spidering can be seen around the spindle hole when angled to the light. This has obviously been played but not overplayed in my opinion. There is little if no wear around the spindle hole it is perfectly round!

The cover
This is the original 1st UK issue unlaminated cover is clean and straight without any edge splits or tears! These originals are very hard to keep in good condition being primarily dark brown in color. There are minor storage wear/indents/rubbing noted at the edges, spine and rear to mention but only really noticed if looked for and when angled to the light in my opinion. All text is readable. In general this is lovely. Graded at least excellent in my opinion.

The record sleeve
The plain white paper record sleeve is correct for this pressing. This is clean and straight. very slight yellowing/fading with age. The vinyl is now always stored separately from the sleeve and cover. This is how I have always stored my records!
