THE TEENAGERS FEATURING FRANKIE LYMON MONO LP - Released early 1956.
You are bidding for for one of the rarest albums in the history of Rock & Roll, Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers. You will be hard pressed to find another first pressing in this kind of top condition!This most rare album was recorded in 1956 on the Gee label GLP-701. THIS IS THE RED LABEL WITH BLACK PRINT AND IS VALUED AT $500+ IN THE GOLDMINE PRICE GUIDE. The stamped numbers in the trailoff area are GLP 701 A on side one and GLP 701 B on side two. Keep in mind that only original pressings had red labels. All others were gray labels and later pressings or re-issues. There were no original Stereo pressings.
THE COVER:
The cover of this lp is in outstanding condition. Razor sharp corners, no writing, no seam splits. Beautiful color graphics on the photo front with bold crisp colors. No dirt, rubs, or ringwear on the majestic 50's photo! Bright white edges that frame the cover beautifully. Bright white back of the cover with just a hint of wear at the top. Just about an inch or two of wear on the upper right seam by the mouth. Small bb hole upper right corner. A gorgeous copy of this landmark and incredibly rare 1st issue of this lp. Overall a solid VG++ rating
THE RECORD/ VINYL / LABELS / INNER SLEEVE:
Vinyl on the LP is full gloss NM-, looks like new and hardly played. Labels are a high end VG+++ to NM! If you look real hard you can see just the lightest hint of a couple of spindle marks - otherwise perfect!. You may never find a nicer slab of vinyl for this title and pressing!
