Description

3 records. EMI made in the UK Decca ffrr broadband Stereo SXL 2160-2 Stampers 3G/7G 2G/3G 3G/4L. Ernest Ansermet conducts L'Orchestre de las Suisse Romande in Peter Tchaikovsky's "Sleeping Beauty". Superb recording in Victoria Hall Geneva! Wonderful set with electrifying playing in the appropriate places. Ansermet was one of the very few conductors who had a fully empathetic understanding for Russian music and how it should be played! (EG his Prokofiev Symphony 6 mono - better than most Russian conductors even). This is a set to own!  Box, booklet and records are near mint.   A++++++
