Description
1st Original US Pressing of Howard Hanson "The Composer and His Orchestra" on Mercury Living Presence Stereo It is a collectible audiophile record
The copy shown in the pictures has:
- deep-grooved maroon labels with Mercury Stereo on top and Living Presence High-Fidelity with "Mercury Head" logo on bottom
- Matrix stampers: FR-1 A1 | C52P (on both sides of deadwax)
- Mercury "colorback" cover (a quarter colored on right back)
- Catalogue number SR 90175
COVER: MINT / The laminated cover has suffered essentially no wear. There is no ring wear to either side. No shelf wear. The spine is tight with legible print. No splits or tears. Very clean cover with no color fading. You'll be hard-pressed to find a cover in better condition.
VINYL: NM or M- / Visually, the record is very close to being in MINT condition. There are very few slight noticeable sleeve marks on both sides. The spindle holes are pristine, the labeling is excellent. The vinyl retains a nice glossy and clean sheen. It's hard to find them in such good condition these days!

TEST PLAYED: NM or M- / I have played both sides of this record recently. The audio is NEAR MINT, with only minimal to no background noise in the quietest parts.
My grading scale is: Sealed (still in shrink wrap); M (MINT); NM (Near Mint); NM- (Near Mint Minus); EX (Excellent); VG+ (Very Good Plus); VG (Very Good); VG- (Very Good Minus); G (Good); and P (Poor). If you ONLY collect "MINT" or "NEW" records, you should not bid on any item with any grade less than NM. For almost all collectors, my NM- should not require any further "upgrade" for you. For almost all collectors, my EX should be acceptable for your collection copy. If you are an audiophile who cannot tolerate vinyl surface noise, you should only bid on records play graded as NM. For most audiophiles, my EX play grade should be acceptable for your collection copy. [PLEASE NOTE that I will not accept returns of SEALED records and I will not refund any part of your payment for a SEALED record.]
Unless the winning bidder requests otherwise, the record will be placed outside of the LP outer jacket so that it will not damage the cover during transit.

For U.S. destinations, the shipping cost for 1 record delivered via US Postal Service Media Mail will be $3.99 for everyone in the United States. For each additional record, add $0.50 for each for up to 3 records. (Each LP mailer will fit up to about 3 records.) For example, for a boxed set containing 3 records, please just add $1 to the shipping cost of the first record.
